BUSINESS BACKGROUND
Leeds Chamber of Commerce is the heartbeat of the business community in Leeds and is one of the most significant of its kind in the UK.
THE PROBLEM
Last year the Chamber had a requirement to move itself and many key strategic bodies from other organisations in the area into a single, flagship "hub" in Leeds city centre. The brief was to help plan, design, implement and execute a three floor, 100 staff multi-disciplined relocation to a very strict deadline and budget.
THE SOLUTION
Using the Leeds Chamber tender process the Chamber had discussions with various suppliers and eventually decided on Ben Johnson Limited. It was clear to us that Ben Johnson differentiated themselves with exceptional design processes, clear and open pricing methods and they proved that they could managed all elements of such a move and were confident that we had made the right choice. Grant and John offered us intelligent and expert advice when we were trying to plan the various styles and environments we were trying to create. Throughout the whole process it felt like we were working as part of a team and not being sold a pre-determined design or product. Ben Johnson's managed just about everything for us including, interior design, space planning, furniture concepts and styles, meeting rooms, office layout, lighting and even took ownership of areas they were not directly responsible for to ensure holistic success.
